Doctor Who Annual 1969 was the fourth Doctor Who Annual published by World Distributors and released on September 1968.  The front cover and spine simply say 'The Doctor Who Annual' with no mention of the year.


This Annual featured the second Doctor, Jamie, Polly and Victoria.  The cover illustrations depict the Cybermen, Cyber-Controller and Yeti, but they do not appear inside the annual.

In the Annual the Doctor is referred to as 'Dr Who' throughout.

Lords of the Galaxy

The Doctor, Jamie and Victoria land on a planet that is nearer to the Hub of the Milky War and emerge into a No-Man's Land of the planet that is in the midst of a great interstellar war. Before the Doctor and his companions can leave a narrow Violet beam of light captures them all, including the TARDIS, and begins to lift them all into the air towards the Spaceship above. Saurians


Follow The Phantoms

The Doctor, Jamie and Victoria land on a planet that Victoria calls Cloud 7. The TARDIS has landed on a vast plain where a mysterious white cloud has appeared. Climbing into the Doctors new invention 'The Floater' they all fly towards the mysterious Cloud and approach a group of Giant Humanoid Creatures that are marching towards a city in the cloud.


Mastermind Of Space

The Doctor realises that both he and his companions, Jamie and Victoria, are all under the influence of a heavy Hypnotic Force. They have all been captured and are contained in individual capsules and wired up to machines that are projecting their thoughts to a screen. The Doctor realises that their brains are being picked at by forces that he cannot see. Forces that are called The Masters Of Space And Time.


The Celestial Toyshop

The Doctor, Jamie and Victoria emerge from the TARDIS into a room that is filled with toys. However these toys are bigger than they are. Are they in some giant child's playroom or is there more to this than they could imagine.


Valley Of Dragons

The Doctor, Jamie and Victoria materialise on one of the minor planet of the deep galactic Environs. The TARDIS lands on the back of a creature that was descended from the Dragons of the planet. Wearing Atmospheric Density Jackets the trio go exploring this strange world.


Planet From Nowhere

Landing on a lone rogue planet that is adrift in the vast reaches of space between Galaxies The Doctor, Jamie and Victoria decide to explore. Coming into a building that looks like it has an alter in it they soon realise that there are a number of glass domes with people in them who are in suspended animation.


Happy As Queeg

The Doctor, Jamie and Victoria land on a planet that is ruled by Robots. After the Doctor had disappeared a couple of days before, Jamie and Victoria go in search for him. They eventually find the Doctor but he has been brainwashed and is Happy To Serve Queeg. But who is Queeg.


World Of Ice

The TARDIS materialises on the slopes of a snow-clad mountain range. Leaving Victoria in the TARDIS, both The Doctor and Jamie go exploring in the blizzard. when they come back to the TARDIS they have changed somehow. Victoria must find out and try to save them all.


The Microtron Men

Landing on a lush green planet The Doctor, Jamie and Victoria go exploring their surroundings. Victoria looks back at the TARDIS and gasps as she tells the others that the TARDIS is growing and is at least 100 feet tall. In disbelief the Doctor terns to see and is amazed at how the TARDIS is growing and looks to keep be growing. Suddenly Victoria screams as in the distance a giant Ant is looking at the trio.


Death To Mufl

Landing on a new planet the Doctor decides to leave the sleeping Jamie and Victoria in the TARDIS. Closing the door of the TARDIS The Doctor decides to go an explores.  While looking around at the vegetation the Doctor lets out a yelp as he slides down into a yawning hole. 

 

 

Comic Strip Stories

 

Atom Infinite

The Doctor shrinks the TARDIS until it fits within an atom, then materialises on the nucleus of an atom, which resembles a strange mountainous world. He, Jamie and Victoria find an odd tree hanging with silver teardrops, and inside one of the teardrops is a face. 

 

Freedom By Fire

The Doctor, Jamie and Polly land in an alien jungle and soon discover an abandoned village. They also discover the reason, as a man-eating plant attacks Polly. Deeper into the jungle, they meet some natives and learn that the plants are called Kraals and that the planet has no winter. Although referred to throughout as Polly, the female companion in this story is obviously meant to be Victoria who has simply been misnamed by the author.
