New Sounds New Styles was a monthly music, art and fashion magazine first published in the UK in July 1981, and covering the New Romantics movement and clubbing scene.

 

It lasted 13 issues and ended July 1982.

Number One was a British magazine dealing with pop music. It ran for nine years, mostly during the 1980s and was aimed at a mainly teenage market.

 

The magazine was published weekly and ran from May 1983 to February 1992. It was intended as direct competition to Smash Hits, which was at its peak at the time.

New Musical Express (NME) was a British music journalism magazine published since 1949. It is largely associated with rock, alternative and indie music.

 

The paper was established in 1949. The "Accordion Times and Musical Express" was bought by London music promoter Maurice Kinn. It was relaunched as the New Musical Express, and was initially published in a non-glossy tabloid format on standard newsprint.
