The 5th October - 18th October 1988 issue of Smash Hits provided it's readers with a chance to get their hands on a Free set of Badges.  One of the badges was given away with the current issue of Smash Hits.

 

Like other badge offers you had to collect 3 tokens in order to send off for the badges in the set.

As usual you had to send a Self Addressed Envelope, with the 3 tokens, to Smash Hits Badge Offer and they would be yours to parade as much as you wanted.
