1991 Poll Winners
Smash Hits published the Thirteenth Annual Smash Hits Readers Poll Voting Form' in the 4th September - 17th September 1991 issue of Smash Hits.
The Voting Form was to be used to ask the readers what their favourites were from the year 1991.
The Poll had categories such as Best Group, though to the Most Fanciable Human Being.
The results were then published in the 30th October - 12th November 1991 issue of the magazine.
This was also the 4th year that the awards were broadcast live on BBC1.

This was the Fourth year that the Smash Hits Poll Winners Party took place.
The event was from London Arena - Docklands in London and was broadcast by BBC TV in association with Proset Music Cards.
The Director was Terry Jervis. The Producer was Sharon Ali
The party was on Sunday 27th October 1990 and was broadcast on BBC1 at 3.30 pm and Radio 1.
Phillip Schofield presented the show.
The event was notorious for the incident in 1991 involving Phillip Schofield and Carter USM, when the band's performance was cut short, causing them to trash up the stage.
Following this, when Schofield made a remark about the band's behavior, their guitarist Les "Fruitbat" Carter rugby tackled Schofield. The band was temporarily banned from performing on television, but its ticket sales for its tour soared.
