2005 Poll Winners

Smash Hits published the Twelfth Annual Smash Hits Readers Poll Voting Form' in the 5th September - 2nd October 1990 issue of Smash Hits.

 

The Voting Form was to be used to ask the readers what their favourites were from the year 1990.  

 

The Poll had  categories such as Best Group, though to the Most Fanciable Human Being.

 

The results were then published in the 14th - 27th November 1990 issue of the magazine.

 

This was also the 3rd year that the awards were broadcast live on BBC1.

This was the third year that the Smash Hits Poll Winners Party took place.

 

This time it was at London Arena - Docklands in London and was broadcast by BBC TV in association with KP.

 

The Director was Terry Jervis. The Producer was Sharon Ali

 

The party was on Sunday 11th November 1990 and was broadcast on BBC1 at 3.30 pm. Phillip Schofield presented the show.

 

Featuring pop stars Jason Donovan, Craig McLachlan, Betty Boo, Partners in Kryme with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Monie Love, Snap, Roxette, the Boys, Vanilla Ice and Deelite

 

It was also broadcast on Radio 1
