1998 Poll Winners
Smash Hits published the Twelfth Annual Smash Hits Readers Poll Voting Form' in the 7th October - 20th October 1998 issue of Smash Hits.
The Voting Form was to be used to ask the readers what their favourites were from the year 1998.
The Poll had categories such as Best Group, though to the Most Fanciable Human Being.
The results were then published in the 16th December - 29th December 1998 issue of the magazine.
This was also the 10th year that the awards were broadcast live on BBC1.

This was the eleventh year that the Smash Hits Poll Winners Party took place.
This time it was at London Arena - Docklands in London and was broadcast by BBC TV in association with Our Price.
The Producer was Julia Knowles and Tara Duffy
The party was on Sunday 13th December 1998 and was broadcast on BBC1 at 3.00 pm. Melanie Sykes, Stephen Gately,
Meat Loaf and Will Smith were the hosts.
Featuring pop stars Peter Andre, Backstreet Boys, Steps, Aqua, B*Witched, Boyzone and the Corrs among others.
It was also broadcast on Radio 1
