To celebrate the 100th Issue of Smash Hits the magazine gave away a Free Badge with the issue dated 30th September 1982.
This was the magazine's Second Set of free badges in 1982.
As with other sets you had one issued free on the front cover of the magazine and you then needed to send off to get the rest.
