In the 13th October - 26th October 1983 issue of Smash Hits they gave their readers a Preview Copy of a new Magazine for girls entitled Just Seventeen.

 

Also referred to as J-17, 'Just Seventeen' became a weekly magazine aimed at teenage girls and was published by Emap, who were the same publisher as Smash Hits.

 

Just Seventeen ran from October 1983 till April 2004 and became the market leader in teen magazine until the launch of 'Sugar' in 1994.
