Smash Hits offered its readers a Smash Hits Colander Poster at the end of 1982.

 

The Poster Calendar measured approx. 34 inch's by 24 inch's.

The Calendar was split over two sides and featured artists in colour for each month.

 

Side One Featured:

 

January - Heaven 17

February - Culture Club

March - Nick Heyward

April - Depeche Mode

May - Wham

June - Annie Lennox (Eurythmics)

Side Two Featured:

August - Spandau Ballet

September - Paul Young

October - David Bowie

November - Madness

December - Duran Duran

 

 

As with other offers all the reader needed to collect was 3 tokens.  

 

Then you either sent 50 pence, if you wanted the Poster Calander Folded, or £1.25, if you wanted the Poster Calander Rolled up and sent in a pretective tube.  

 

Which ever way you had to send a Cheque or Postal Order made out to Smash Hits for the amount stated which also included Postage and Packing and you too would have it hanging on your bedroom wall.
