Starting with the 12th April -  25th April 1984 issue and ending with the 10th May - 23rd May 1984 issue, Smash Hits gave their readers the chance to collect 3 tokens to send away for a new Badge Set.

 

Unlike previous couple of years you did not get a badge free with a particular issue.  Instead you had to collect the 3 tokens to send off for all the badges.
