Flexi Pop

Flexipop magazine was famous for the re-emergence of the flexible music disc in the UK during the 1980s. Launched at the end of October 1980 (for November 1980 date) by ex-Record Mirror journalists Barry Cain and Tim Lott, the magazine featured a flexi disc in each issue. The magazine lasted just under three years with 33 issues (27 with Flexi Disc's and 6 without). One of the most notable issues was the February 1981 disc featuring Adam and the Ants performing a version of the Village People hit 'Y.M.C.A.', called 'A.N.T.S.'
.
The magazine has maintained a memorable reputation among music collectors because of the flexi disc and the revival of interest in 1980s pop.

Huw Collingbourne, a contributing writer to Flexipop, gave an interview to Stylus magazine about the publication in which he said, "Other music mags may have dabbled in flexis, but Flexipop! made a career of it. We had singles by the top bands of the day everyone from The Jam to Depeche Mode. A really good flexi would make the magazine fly off the news stands."
Please note: I am not sure of the actual release dates of these. If anyone has evidence of the dates to either confirm them or move them then please get in touch.
I do not have any issues so if anyone has any more that they can scan and share then please get in touch. Thank You.

On the cover of Flexipop it says "Great new track from Blondie plus two songs from Mystery bands, those two bands were -
SNUKY TATE - Tate was a San Francisco punk scene dude, but "Snuky Tate" also served as the band name on his amazing "Who Cares" EP [Blackmouth, 1979] which features the brutal, much bootlegged "Stage Speech." The band on the single backing Tate was pretty much the same lineup as The Mutants. Tate later made more dance oriented stuff, and Reggae.
THE BRATTLES - Was a band of prepubescent punk rockers ages 8 to 12 ( Werner Petrikat's, 12 Guitar,Dagin, 8 drums - Jason, 9 vox - Emerson, 9 bass - Branch, 10 keys,)They opened for the Clash twice, shared a rehearsal room with the New York Dolls and we were produced by Chris Stein of Blondie
