In the 15th April 1978 issue, Record Mirror (in association with Virgin Records) offered readers a free album entitled Half Pounder. The album was available
only through Record Mirror. The offer also included a free badge.

Readers needed to collect six different tokens from the
issues dated 15th April through 20th May. A special
extra token was published in the 27th May issue.
​
Once you have all six tokens you send them in with a
postal order for 65p to get the free album and badge.

In the 23rd September 1978 issue of Record Mirror (in association with Phonogram Records) the magazine gave its readers the opportunity to send off for a Free Exclusive Album entitled Private Pleasures. You could only get this album through Record Mirror.
Readers needed to collect six different numbered tokens from issues dated 23rd September - 28th October. A special extra token was published in the 4th November issue.
