Merger

The issue dated 8th January 1983, Record Mirror merged with Noise! Magazine.

It had been announced in both magazines the previous issues.

Noise! Magazine was a Pop culture magazine published Bi-Weekly.  Launching in May 1982 it lasted 16 issues before it merged. The final issue dated  9th December - 23rd December 1982 (see below centre) featured Thomas Dolby on the front cover.

The new logo for the combined magazines changed to Record Mirror and Noise! (as shown left).

This lasted until the 19th March 1983 when the Noise Logo was added to the front cover for the last time.

The following issue dated 26th March 1983 the Noise! logo was dropped and Noise! was no more.
